The Indiana Department of Transportation announces repairs on the flood damaged section of I-70 westbound are ongoing in Wayne County.
The goal is for crews to reopen the interstate at some point on Friday.
During this time, both lanes of I-70 westbound remain closed near Centerville at mile marker 146. Heavy rains and flooding washed a section of the road away.
Due to other roads reopening, INDOT is adjusting the detour to follow U.S. 27 southbound, U.S. 40 westbound, State Road 1 northbound, and back on I-70 westbound.
