The REES Theatre is calling on community supporters to help fill volunteer shifts for one of its biggest fundraising events of the year.
On Monday, September 7, The REES Theatre will participate in the Blueberry Festival Half Pot Raffle, a fundraiser held in partnership with the United Way of Marshall County. Under the half-pot format, 50% of all raffle proceeds collected that day will come directly back to The REES Theatre to support its mission.
Last year, volunteers helped raise more than $2,000 for the historic theatre through the same event, and organizers are hoping to make an even bigger impact this year.
A few volunteers have already signed up, but several shifts remain unfilled. The theatre is seeking help for the following time slots on Monday, September 7:
- 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
- 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Organizers emphasize that no prior experience is necessary. Whether a longtime volunteer or a first-time helper, supporters can make a meaningful contribution in just a few hours.
Every raffle ticket sold helps fund the movies, concerts, educational programs, and community events that make The REES Theatre a cornerstone of downtown Plymouth. The historic venue relies on community support to continue offering arts, entertainment, and community programming.
Those interested in volunteering are encouraged to sign up online Volunteer Sign-Up. When registering, supporters should:
- Select Monday, September 7
- Choose the shift that works best for them
- Be sure to indicate they are volunteering with The REES Theatre during the sign-up process
Community members who know someone who loves The REES are asked to share the opportunity and encourage them to join. Organizers hope to see every Monday shift filled with REES fans.
