Plymouth Police forcibly entered a Williams Street home after the Marshall County 911 Center received an early Sunday morning call from a distraught female who locked herself and children in an upstairs bedroom out of fear.
At approximately 1:30 July 14th, Plymouth Police were dispatched to 218 William Street for a possible domestic. The female caller stated that her boyfriend was “irate” and that she had locked herself and her children in an upstairs bedroom out of fear.
Plymouth Police as well as officers from the Marshall County Sheriff's Office arrived on scene. The female caller did not know where the male was and told the dispatch center he had access to weapons. She said she didn’t feel safe leaving the room and gave officers permission to forcefully enter the residence.
After breaking into the home police officers detained 32-year-old Austin Norman. An investigation took place, and Austin Norman was placed under arrest and transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was booked in on a charge of Intimidation.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
