Plymouth Police officers, with the assistance of officers from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, executed an arrest warrant on Monday morning.
At 1:30 p.m., officers went to 2535 North Michigan Street, the Economy Inn, to make their arrest. While serving the arrest warrant, a male, later identified as 51-year-old Carson Rowe of Plymouth, was seen by a Plymouth police officer attempting to hide an item in an exterior vent in plain view of the officer.
Rowe was detained, and when officers looked inside the vent, they found a hypodermic syringe.
Carson Rowe was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was lodged for felony-possession of a hypodermic Syringe.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
