Early Thursday morning, September 3rd, officers with the Plymouth Police Department arrested a 20-year-old man on an active felony warrant, according to department reports.

At approximately 1:15 a.m., officers obtained information on the whereabouts of Keegan Burt, who had an active felony warrant for his arrest. Officers from both the Plymouth Police Department and the Marshall County Sheriff's Department visited 501 Pennsylvania Avenue, where they were able to locate Burt inside one of the apartment units.

Burt was taken into custody without incident. However, during the investigation, officers found that Burt had consumed alcohol and was in possession of alcohol as a minor.

Keegan Burt was transported to the Marshall County Jail and lodged for the warrant. He also faces new charges of illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and minor in possession of alcohol.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
