The Plymouth Park Board met on Monday, July 7th, for their monthly meeting. Park Superintendent Mike Hite updated the board on progress with phase III of the River Park Square Greenway Trail extension. He said the project is nearly complete, with the lights being installed last week. He commented that the lights are very brightly lit.
The park superintendent said construction is set to begin next week on the Price's Pond Greenway Trail extension, which will wind the Greenway Trail around the pond located at Price's Memorial Park.
Park Recreation Director Abby Collins reported that the public pool is being heavily used this summer, and everything is running smoothly at the pool.
Misty Sorchevich with the Friends of the Park group was present, and she and Board Member Liz Richie updated the Board on the Amazing Race event that they will be putting on in August. More information will be coming about that soon.
The next Plymouth Park Board meeting will be held on August 4th at the Conservation Clubhouse at 5:00 p.m.
