The Plymouth Chamber of Commerce is teeing up a new community tradition this summer. Executive Director Matt Hovermale is inviting golfers and business community members to join the 2026 Plymouth Chamber Golf Outing on Wednesday, July 15, at Pretty Lake Golf Club.
The event is open to the public and welcomes players of all skill levels, from seasoned golfers to casual players looking for a fun day on the course.
Creating a fundraising golf outing was one of Hovermale's goals when he came on board as Executive Director — a natural fit given his background as a golf professional. Beyond the camaraderie and competition, the event serves a meaningful purpose. Proceeds will help fund the Walter A. Glaub Memorial Scholarship, awarded annually to two deserving Marshall County graduating seniors. Funds raised will also support Chamber programs, events, and initiatives that benefit local businesses and the broader community.
The day kicks off with lunch provided by Puerto Vallarta on the Lake at 11:00 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at noon. Team registration is $400 per foursome and includes 18 holes of golf, range access, lunch, two drink tickets per player, contests, prizes, and networking opportunities throughout the day.
Sponsorship opportunities are also still available, offering businesses valuable visibility while supporting a worthy cause.
Whether you're a golfer, a business looking to network, or simply someone who wants to invest in local students and the business community, organizers encourage you to get involved. For registration details, sponsorship opportunities, or more information, contact the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce at 574-936-2323.
