Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractor E&B Paving, Inc. is scheduled to begin a pavement rehabilitation project on State Road 252 between I-65 and U.S. 31 in Edinburgh on or after Monday.
Crews will begin working on S.R. 252 between Eisenhower Drive and Pleasant Street. This portion of S.R. 252 will be closed through early July, weather permitting. During the closure, motorists should use the official detour route, which follows U.S. 31 to I-65 back to S.R. 252.
In addition to the S.R. 252 closure, Eisenhower Drive will temporarily close at S.R. 252 for water main installation work on or after Tuesday and is expected to reopen in early April.
Pre-construction activities will take place along S.R. 252 prior to the start of the closure. S.R. 252 will close in additional locations throughout the duration of the project.
INDOT will provide additional information and updates as work progresses via INDOT News, Facebook and X.
The overall project is expected to be complete in early summer 2028, weather permitting.
This project is part of a $15.4 million contract awarded to E&B Paving in September 2024.
