Pair of suspects arrested after drugs found inside their bodies

A pair of individuals landed themselves a stay inside the Parke County Jail after Parke County Sheriff Deputies located methamphetamine inside their body cavities. 

According to Sheriff Jason Frazier, deputies found meth inside a vehicle belonging to Dylan Hart, 36, Montezuma, on Easter Sunday during a traffic stop in Montezuma after a positive hit from a K9. Both Hart and his passenger, Ashley Robinson, 35, Waynetown, were taken into custody. A later search revealed that both suspects "were concealing methamphetamine inside their body cavities," according to Frazier. In addition to drugs, deputies also recovered paraphernalia from inside the suspects. 

Hart was booked on a possession of meth over five grams and driving while suspended charges. In addition, Hart was charged with possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug after deputies found heroin and fentanyl inside his home during a search Monday. Robinson was charged with possession of meth and possession of paraphernalia. 

According to court documents, the prosecution is seeking a habitual offender status against Hart, who is being held on a $15,000 bond with no 10 percent acceptable. He is due back in court on May 28. 

Robinson, on the other hand, was handed a $10,000 bond with 10 percent acceptable with Phase 6 drug testing. Court records show Robinson posted bond and is due back in court on May 28.
