The Indiana Department of Transportation announces single-lane closures that will impact I-70 eastbound during the overnight hours.
Beginning on or after Tuesday, April 14, I-70 eastbound will be reduced to one lane between the hours of 7 p.m. and 10 a.m., with closures alternating between the right and left lanes. INDOT contractors will be patching and resurfacing between State Road 59 (22-mile marker) and the Clay/Putnam County line (29-mile marker).
Future ramp closures at S.R. 59 will be needed for this project.
Construction is anticipated to last until the end of 2026 but is weather-dependent and subject to change. INDOT encourages drivers to use caution and avoid distractions at all times, especially near work zones.
