Multiple fire departments responded to a Greenfield industry fire early Tuesday morning.

Firefighters quickly confirmed that all employees had safely evacuated the facility and were accounted for. Crews observed smoke and fire conditions involving the roof area of the structure and deployed Ladder 421 to access the rooftop. Hoselines were advanced from the ladder and utilized to extinguish the fire.
Firefighters from multiple Hancock County fire departments worked together to access and suppress the fire, which was located within the rooftop assembly. Through a coordinated response, crews successfully contained and extinguished the fire, preventing further spread into the building.
No civilians were injured during the incident. One firefighter sustained minor injuries and was evaluated, treated, and transported by EMS.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Assistance came from several departments including the Hancock County 911 Center, Greenfield Police Department, Sugar Creek Township Fire Department, Buck Creek Township Fire Department, Fountaintown Volunteer Fire Department, Charlottesville Volunteer Fire Department, Vernon Township Fire Department, Green Township Volunteer Fire Department.
