The REES is offering four movies in October, perfect for all ages.
On Wednesday, Oct. 16th, at 2 p.m., it’s the Seasoned Citizens Matinee. In a nod to the World Series, “The Pride of the Yankees,” starring Gary Cooper as Lou Gehrig. Seasoned citizens 55 and over receive free popcorn and soda with their $5 ticket.
On Sunday, Oct. 20th, the 2 p.m. matinee features Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” as the Sunday Family Matinee. Jack Skellington, the king of “Halloween Town,” tries to take over “Christmas Town.” Children 12 and younger are free with a paid adult. Tickets are $5 for everyone 13 and over.
On Friday, Oct. 25, the original Ghostbusters will be a special Date/Family Night movie. The all-star cast includes Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, Rick Moranis, and Annie Potts. Children 12 and younger are free with a paid adult. Tickets are $5 for 13 and over.
On Saturday, Oct. 26, at 4 p.m. “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire,” with Paul Rudd and Carrie Coon, along with Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd, and Annie Potts, work to save New York from a death-chilling god looking to build a spectral army. Rated PG-13, everyone is required to purchase a $5 ticket.
Tickets are available online at reestheatre.com, in person at Na Rie Simple Treasures at 104 N. Michigan St., and at the box office 45 minutes before the show.
