The National Weather Service (NWS) based in Lincoln, Ill reports the confirmation of two tornado touchdowns in southeastern Illinois Wednesday.
One touched down about 2 miles north of Janesville in Coles County.
It touched down around 9 p.m. CT and was 30 yards wide and traveled about 1/2 mile.
The second touched down about 3 miles northeast of Effingham in Effingham County.
It was on the ground for 1.5 miles and was roughly 30 yards wide.
The NWS says there were no reported damages or injuries, and the tornados were left unclassified.
They were spawned by a large, strong system of storms that passed through the area and brought strong winds, heavy rain and hail.
