A motorcyclist was lucky to avoid serious injury recently after falling into a sinkhole that had formed on a road near the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.
According to Sheriff Jerrod Baugh, heavy rain caused the road to open and a motorcyclist out for a late night ride fell into the massive sink hole due to it not being lit.
The motorcyclist was uninjured, however, the motorcycle did sustain damage.
