The Cinton Clerk - Treasurer vacancy was filled by a Vermillion County Republican Caucus.
The post became available when Nancy Willis resigned in February.
Four precinct committee representatives from the Clinton precinct voted 2-1 with one abstention for Bart Mooney over Paulina Young.
Mooney's resume includes several years on the Redevelopment Board and a stint on the Clinton City Council.
