Whether or not Shelbyville experiences a “White Christmas” this season will be determined later this month.
On Friday, there will be remnants of a snowstorm that arrived Monday night lingering during the City of Shelbyville’s annual Holiday Parade and Mistletoe Market.
The Mistletoe Market will open in downtown Shelbyville at 5 p.m. Friday and feature many artisans and vendors.

There will be a free hot chocolate station and live reindeer visits during the holiday celebration. Rides on the Ferris wheel will be available for $5 per ride (cash only).
All of the festivities lead up to the downtown holiday parade that culminates with Santa Claus arriving to turn on the holiday lights on the Public Square.
Santa will remain after the parade in his downtown house to visit with children to discuss their Christmas wish lists.
