Marshall County voters will have their say tomorrow as Election Day arrives Tuesday, November 3rd. Polls across Indiana will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and registered voters in Marshall County will find a dozen Vote Centers ready to receive their ballots.
One of the conveniences of the county's Vote Center system is flexibility: residents may cast their ballot at any of the 12 locations, regardless of where they live in the county. There is no requirement to vote at a specific site.
Vote centers will be open in Argos at the Gallery on West at the Argos Fairgrounds, in Bourbon at the Matchette Center, 805 North Harris Street, in Bremen at the Missionary Church, 2958 Elm Road and St. Isidore Hall, 803 Bike Street. In Culver at the School Administration Building on School Street, at the LaPaz Fire Station on Michigan Street, and in the Tippecanoe Community Center and Tyner Community Center. In Plymouth there are four vote centers, at the Columbus Club (K of C), 901 East Jefferson Street, the Life Enrichment Center, 1305 West Harrison Street, at the Pretty Lake Church Fellowship Hall on State Road 17, and at Marshall County REMC at .U.S. 31 and 12th Road
At the state level, Marshall County voters will see contests for the local State Representative seats. In District 17, incumbent Jack Jordan (R) faces a challenge from Mary Gibson (D). In District 7, incumbent Jake Teshka (R) is challenged by Oliver Davis (D).
In Marshall County, very few seats feature a contested race this cycle.
For County Commissioner District 1, incumbent Stan Klotz (R) is challenged by Emanuel Reese (D).
On the County Council, two districts have contested races: in District 1 the incumbent Will Patterson (R) vs. Neika Smessaert (D), and in District 3, incumbent Nicole Cox (R) vs. Jessica O'Blenis.
Several Township Board races are on the ballot, including contests in German Township, Center Township, North Township, and Union Township. Races for Township Trustee will also be decided in North Township and West Township.
The Plymouth School Board District 3 seat features a race between incumbent Robin Cupka and Elizabeth Ginder Wray.
The LaVille Union Township school board race pits Arden Balmer against Bradley Sherman.
