The Marshall County Council will convene tonight to tackle a busy agenda that includes proposed changes to the county's salary ordinance, financial appropriations, and updates to a public safety grant.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. in the second-floor meeting room of the Marshall County Building.
A key portion of the evening will feature updates from several subcommittees, including Budget/Finance, Highway, and Job Classification & Compensation. The Job and Compensation Subcommittee is slated to present two ordinances for council consideration: an addendum to the ordinance adopting county job descriptions and an amendment to the 2025 Salary Ordinance.
Financial matters will also take center stage, as council members are expected to review and vote on ordinances for additional appropriations and transfer of appropriations. Additionally, the council will consider a joint ordinance with the county commissioners aimed at amending the Public Safety Grant.
Other items on tonight's agenda include:
- A quarterly update report from the Marshall County Museum.
- Approval of an invoice for legal services from Lebbin Law.
- The appointment of an alternate member to the Board of Zoning Appeals.
As with all regular council meetings, an opportunity for public input will be provided for community members wishing to address the board.
