Main Street Greencastle announces Business Development Grant recipients

Small business innovation is thriving in downtown Greencastle thanks to the Green & Gold Business Accelerator, a dynamic partnership between DePauw University and the Indiana Small Business Development Center as part of the Growing Green and Gold Together Initiative.

This collaborative effort is empowering local entrepreneurs by providing resources, mentorship, and funding opportunities to help businesses grow, strengthen the local economy, and bring new energy to the heart of the city.

A key component of this initiative is the Business Development Grant program, which is open to businesses located within the Main Street district that participate in the Accelerator’s business cohort training. This competitive funding program supports small business growth and aims to strengthen the economic vitality of downtown Greencastle.

DePauw University and Main Street Greencastle are pleased to announce that $193,000 has been awarded in this first round of grants to the following downtown businesses:

• Shuee's Furniture & Appliance – Building improvements as part of expanding their business.

• Lost Hollow Beer Co., LLC – New equipment to support business growth.

• The Whisk – Upgraded equipment to improve facility efficiency.

• Moore's Bar & Grill – Building improvements to enhance customer experience.

• The Dandelion Inn – Building and operational enhancements to strengthen business and attract visitors.
