Lesbia Jamileth-Torrez arrested for driving without a license

A Plymouth woman was arrested Sunday afternoon after a County Police Officer stopped her vehicle and determined she didn’t have a license.

On October 20th, at approximately 3:30 PM, Officer Wozniak initiated a traffic stop on a black 2008 Dodge Avenger on 10B Road west of State Road 17. During the investigation, it was found that the driver, 37-year-old Lesbia Jamileth Torrez of West Jackson Street in Plymouth, was operating a vehicle without ever receiving a driver's license. She was transported to the Marshall County Jail and was given a $100 cash bond. She posted the bond 45 minutes later and was released with a court date of Tuesday, November 19th.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
