The city of Lawrenceville has announced that they will be flushing the water system distribution lines in the near future and cleaning the city cemetery in early April.
The flushing work is to begin on Monday, March 30th and continue throughout the week. City water customers could see some discolored water during the period. It is hoped that the discoloration will be contained to the area where the flushing is occurring. However, all customers are being advised to check their water before doing any laundry work.
City Cemetery Superintendent Grant McDonald tells GIANT-FM WAKO that the annual cleanup of the cemetery is scheduled to begin Monday, April 6th and run through Friday, April 10th. All containers and wreaths should be removed from the location before Monday, April 1st. Everything that is not on the memorial stone or hanging from a shepherd's hook will be discarded.
