The Marshall County Republican Party has issued a final call for tickets to its annual Lincoln Day Dinner, set for Friday, March 6, at the Plymouth Boys & Girls Club Gym Event Center.
This year’s event carries a special patriotic theme, honoring President Abraham Lincoln while celebrating 250 years of American freedom and recognizing the service and sacrifice of the nation’s veterans.
"This will be a memorable event that brings together our community to celebrate our shared values of freedom, patriotism, and service," said Deb VanDeMark, Chairman of the Marshall County Republican Party.
The evening will feature U.S. Representative Jack Bergman as the keynote speaker. Currently serving Michigan’s 1st Congressional District—which encompasses the entire Upper Peninsula—Bergman brings a distinguished record of military and public service.
Before his election to Congress, Bergman served as a Lieutenant General in the United States Marine Corps. As a retired three-star general and current legislator, organizers say his unique perspective makes him an exceptional choice for this year’s patriotic theme.
Tickets are $50 each or a table of 10 for $500 and may be purchased from any member of the Marshall County Republican Central Committee, including Deb VanDeMark, Sharon Dota, Bryan Howard, or Jim Masterson.
The Lincoln Day Dinner is an annual tradition honoring the legacy of President Lincoln and the core principles of the Republican Party. With the added celebration of America's semiquincentennial approaching, organizers emphasize that this year's gathering holds extra significance.
