The Indiana Department of Transportation announces lane and ramp closures for I-74 in Decatur County.
On or after Friday, crews will begin lane closures on I-74 westbound near Greensburg. Lane closures will occur between mile marker 128 and mile marker 134. Traffic will utilize eastbound lanes for both directions of travel through the work zone.
On or after Friday, July 17, crews will close the ramp from I-74 westbound to U.S. 421 and the ramp from U.S. 421 to I-74 westbound will also close during this phase of work.
Lane and ramp closures will allow for a bridge replacement project to occur on I-74 over Muddy Creek as well paving work on I-74. This phase of work is expected to take four months to complete, depending on the weather. Motorists are asked to utilize the I-74 and State Road 3 interchange as a detour for ramp closures.
INDOT will continue to provide additional information and updates as work progresses via INDOT News, Facebook and X.
