A Knox woman was arrested Friday morning on an outstanding Marshall County warrant after being located in a parked vehicle in Plymouth.

Corporal Schieber with the Plymouth Police Department found Amber Pittman, 41, of Knox, in a vehicle parked in the lot at Pilgrim Manor, 222 Parkview Street, on the morning of December 26.

Following an investigation, officers determined Pittman had an active arrest warrant in Marshall County. She was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Marshall County Jail.

Details about the nature of the warrant were not available in the police report.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
