Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating after the body of a juvenile was recovered Friday from the swimming lake at France Park.
Shortly before 5:00 p.m., Indiana Conservation Officers Central Dispatch was notified by Cass County Central Dispatch that a juvenile was missing in the area of France Park. A recreational diver located the juvenile, unresponsive, in the lake. Life saving measures were immediately initiated, but were unsuccessful. The juvenile was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of death is pending autopsy results. This incident is still under investigation.
Assisting agencies include Cass County Sheriff's Office, Cass County EMS, Logansport Fire Department, District 1 Fire Department, Cass County EMA, Cass County Coroner’s Office, Indiana Department of Child Services, and the Cass County Central Dispatch.
