If you're looking for the perfect way to spend a summer Saturday evening, look no further than the Inwood United Methodist Church. Located at 11211 Hawthorn Road east of Plymouth, the church is hosting its annual Homemade Ice Cream Social this Saturday, June 27th, from 4 to 7 p.m.
And while the homemade ice cream is certainly the star of the show, this beloved community tradition is much more than dessert. Guests will enjoy a full meal featuring barbecue sandwiches, vegetables, homemade pies, and drinks — all topped off with the church's scratch-made ice cream in vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and their crowd-favorite black walnut flavor.
Adult tickets are $12, and children ages 7 to 12 are $6. Children 6 and under eat free. Tickets are available from any church member or at the door on Saturday. Carry-out orders are also available for those who'd like to enjoy the meal at home.
All proceeds from the Ice Cream Social will benefit local missions.
