The REES Theatre, in partnership with the Marshall County Soil & Water Conservation District, continues its Incredible Indiana Summer Film Series with the second of three free documentary screenings on the third Thursday at 7:30 p.m. The series spotlights the vital connection between healthy soil, sustainable agriculture, and the future of local communities.
More than a movie night, each screening is designed to spark conversation and reflection on ideas that touch everyday life — from the food on the table to the long-term health of the environment and future generations.
Showing this Thursday, June 18th, at 7:30 is Kiss the Ground. Kiss the Ground, narrated by acclaimed actor Woody Harrelson, is a groundbreaking documentary that explores how regenerative agriculture can restore ecosystems, improve soil health, and serve as a powerful tool in addressing climate challenges.
Using compelling visuals, graphics, and striking NASA and NOAA footage, the film makes the case that healthy soil is the missing piece of the climate puzzle — and that by regenerating the world's soils, it may be possible to rapidly stabilize Earth's climate, rebuild lost ecosystems, and create more abundant food supplies for future generations.
Since its release, Kiss the Ground has sparked conversations around the world and is widely regarded as one of the most hopeful and action-driven environmental documentaries in recent memory.
Admission to all three screenings in the Incredible Indiana Summer Film Series is free and open to the public. The REES Theatre is located in downtown Plymouth.
