Plymouth Police Officers were dispatched to 2535 North Michigan Street, the Economy Inn, at about 6 a.m. on Thursday, July 3rd. The dispatch was made after Central Dispatch received the report of a male exposing himself to other residents of the Economy Inn.
Bruce Hochstetler, 56, of Plymouth, refused to answer the door and speak to officers, and management requested that he be evicted.
Hochstetler continued to ignore officers and management, so officers made entry into his room, and he was taken into custody.
Bruce Hochstetler was transported without incident to the Marshall County Jail, where he was booked in for criminal trespass, indecent exposure, resisting law enforcement, and obstruction of justice. He was held on a $5,000 cash bond and given a court date in Marshall County Superior Court III.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
