The Marshall County Historical Society will host the fifth installment of its America's 250 Brown Bag Lunch and Lecture series on Friday, August 14, from noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Marshall County Historical Society and Museum, 123 North Michigan Street in downtown Plymouth.
Local historian Derek Jensen will lead the hour-long presentation, drawing on the dramatic events surrounding the midnight ride of Paul Revere, William Dawes, and others, who raced through the Massachusetts countryside in April 1775 to warn colonial patriots that British troops were moving to arrest key leaders of the rebellion against the Crown.
The Brown Bag series is part of the organization's ongoing commemoration of America's 250th anniversary, with each event spotlighting stories and figures from the Revolutionary War era.
