The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Heat Advisory from 12 p.m. CT until 8 p.m. CT Tuesday for the entire Giant-FM listening area.
The forecast is for heat index values of up to 105 degrees during those peak hours. These hot temperatures and high humidity outdoors could cause heat illnesses. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Limit strenuous activities to early morning or late evening. Drink plenty of fluids, especially water. Stay out of the direct sunlight for lengthy periods. And take action if you see or feel symptoms of heat exhaustion or heat stroke in yourself or someone else.
