HCW announces plans to break ground this fall on a new 140-room hotel adjacent to Horseshoe Indianapolis in Shelbyville.
The five-story, 109,324-square-foot hotel is expected to open in spring 2028 and will bring a new lodging, dining, meeting and leisure experience to the destination. The hotel will be part of Tapestry Collection by Hilton, a portfolio of independent hotels known for distinctive character, locally inspired design and individualized guest experiences. The property will combine the personality of a boutique hotel with the resources and global reach of Hilton.
Located directly adjacent to Horseshoe Indianapolis – Shelbyville Casino & Horse Racing by Caesars Entertainment, the hotel will serve guests visiting the destination for gaming, live racing, entertainment, meetings, special events and leisure travel.
Horseshoe Indianapolis features approximately 106,000 square feet of casino space, 1,480 gaming machines, 80 table games, a sportsbook, 22,000 square feet of meeting space and a live racetrack.
“This project represents an exciting opportunity to create a hotel that complements everything Horseshoe Indianapolis has to offer while creating a destination experience of its own,” said Rick Huffman, CEO of HCW. “The combination of the hotel's accommodations, dining and bar experience, meeting space, resort-style pool and connection to one of Indiana's premier entertainment destinations will create a compelling new option for visitors to Shelbyville.”
The new hotel will feature 140 guest rooms across five floors, including suites, king rooms and double queen accommodations. Designed for both leisure and business travelers, the property will offer amenities focused on comfort, convenience and gathering. A resort-style infinity pool overlooking the water will serve as an outdoor focal point, with poolside seating and views of the surrounding setting. The hotel will also feature an integrated restaurant and bar with outdoor poolside seating and dining. For meetings, celebrations and group gatherings, the property will offer two meeting rooms totaling 1,648 square feet of flexible meeting space, along with a fitness center.
