A video that found its way onto social media and out into the Greenfield community prompted an investigation into a possible inappropriate relationship between a Greenfield-Central High School teacher and a recent graduate.
Authorities now say that video is fake.
Greenfield-Central School Police and local authorities investigated the video on Wednesday and determined that it had been fabricated.
Superintendent of Greenfield-Central Community Schools Dr. Harold Olin wrote a follow-up that emphasized that the teacher involved has been cleared of any wrongdoing. The fabricated video did not represent any real events or relationships. Dr. Olin added that they are fortunate to have such a great teacher and that it is incredibly unfortunate that a highly-respected teacher had to endure this.
There was no indication in the letter as to what the video contained or who was responsible. Also, no indication about what punishment may be called for related to the fabricated video.
