Greencastle High School is one of seven member schools that the IHSAA Foundation selected to receive a $1,000 grant to support efforts to start or enhance a Student Advisory Committee (SAC).

The grant provides financial support to member schools, allowing committee members to attend the IHSAA’s Student Leadership Conference (SLC), host meetings throughout the year to develop leadership skills, and assist in the committee’s required community service project or unity event.
To qualify and redeem this grant, member schools must adhere to the following requirements:
• Member schools must attend the Student Leadership Conference with at minimum six student-athletes.
• At minimum one administrator and six student members of their committee must attend at least one Fall Principal Meeting.
• At least six meetings focusing on leadership development, community engagement, and inclusivity must be hosted throughout the school year.
• Committees must plan, organize, and activate a community service project or unity event.
Since 2022, the IHSAA and IHSAA Foundation have awarded $50,000 in SAC Grants to member schools.
