A threat against a person at Kokomo High School led to the arrest of a Galveston teen.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says it received threat information from the FBI on Tuesday evening and began its investigation into the cyber tip.
A social media post was found that contained a threat of a school shooting at an unnamed school. Further investigation showed the threat was aimed at a specific individual at Kokomo High School. Also, law enforcement found that the suspect was not a student at Kokomo.
No further information involving the cause of the threat was released the Cass County Sheriff’s Office press release. It was noted that the threat is considered an isolated incident. No other schools are believed to be a subject of any known threats.
Aria Wooden, 18, was taken to the Cass County Detention Center on a Level 5 felony of intimidation – threat to commit terrorism.
The FBI, Kokomo Police and Lafayette Police assisted with the investigation.
