Fulton woman arrested for threatening man with baseball bat and vandalizing car

A Fulton woman was arrested recently after she allegedly threatened her ex-boyfriend with a baseball bat before vandalizing his vehicle.

According to court documents, officers from the Rochester City Police Department responded to the report of a domestic fight at 516 Fulton Ave on Feb. 6, just after 8 p.m. A male at the scene told officers he had been inside of his home when his ex-girlfriend, Kayla M. Lugabihl, 31, of Fulton, showed up at his residence and began aggressively knocking at the front door. The man reported a verbal argument quickly began between the two over property and that Lugabihl eventually retrieved a baseball bat and began swinging it at the man. 

When man retreated back inside his home Lugabihl still allegedly refused to leave. He stated that he never gave Lugabihl permission to get in his vehicle and that she also damaged his car. At the scene officers observed a beverage had been thrown around the interior of the vehicle. Lugabihl was also accused of breaking a window on the home with the baseball bat.

The suspect was soon located just blocks away at the intersection of Fifth and Jefferson St. After searching Lugabihl's vehicle, officers discovered a black metal bat. When speaking to officers Lugabihl admitted she had been fighting with the man after she discovered he had been talking to one of her friends. After a heated argument, Lugabihl stated the man had grabbed her cellphone and threw it just before she went back to her car to retrieve the baseball bat. Lugabihl admitted to officers she had tapped on the window with the bat, resulting in it breaking and stated that she probably pushed the man during the incident as well. 

Lugabihl was taken into custody and booked at the Fulton County Detention Center for battery resulting in injury, a Class A misdemeanor; criminal mischief, a class B misdemeanor; and unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle, a class B misdemeanor.
