On August 5, 2026, at approximately 6:45 p.m., deputies with the Fulton County Sheriff's Office, while following up on a welfare check, located a deceased male near the Germany Bridge public access area along the Tippecanoe River in Fulton County. Germany Bridge is located near 4213 N. 375 W., Rochester, Indiana. The deceased has been identified as Brian Gambill, 35, of Claypool, Indiana. The cause and manner of death remain under investigation by the Fulton County Sheriff's Office and the Fulton County Coroner's Office. Agencies assisting at the scene included the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Office, Lutheran EMS, Rochester Fire Department, and the Fulton County Coroner's Office. At this time, investigators do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the public.
