Two Fort Wayne teens were arrested after being stopped on U.S. 30 at Oak Drive for traveling 75 MPH in a 50 MPH zone.
At about 2:30 Sunday morning, October 6th, Corporal Schieber with the Plymouth Police Department stopped a speeding vehicle. During the stop, the driver was identified as Brandon Mora-Reyes, 19, of Ft. Wayne. A passenger was also identified as Matthew D. Casteneda, 19, of Ft. Wayne.

Casteneda was taken into custody after he was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Mora-Reyes was also found to be under the influence and was transported to the hospital for a chemical test and then to the Marshall County Jail along with Casteneda.
Casteneda was lodged at the Marshall County Jail for a misdemeanor charge of illegal consumption and held on a $100 cash bond. Mora-Reyes was booked in for a misdemeanor charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated-endangering, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, and illegal consumption. His cash bond was set at $1,500.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
