“Forever Plaid,” the off-Broadway musical revue, will be the featured community theater presentation, June 6th through the 9th, at The REES in Plymouth.
The dreams of four high-school buddies to record an album ends tragically when they are killed in a crash involving a bus filled with Catholic schoolgirls on their way to see the Beatles' American debut on “The Ed Sullivan Show.”
Known as The Plaids, the four friends return from the afterlife for one final chance at musical glory. Several classic 1950s-era songs highlight the evening.
Shows include a 2 p.m. matinee on Thursday, June 6; 7:30 p.m. performances on Friday, June 7, and Saturday, June 8; and a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, June 9. Tickets are $20 for general admission and $40 for the balcony. They can be purchased online at reestheatre.com; at Fernbaugh’s Jewelry in downtown Plymouth; and The REES Theatre box office 45 minutes before each show.
