Feutz sworn in as new Bridgeport Police Chief

A veteran patrolman with more than a decade of service to the city of Bridgeport is now officially it's police chief.

Jordan Feutz was promoted to and sworn in as the new head of law enforcement before the Bridgeport City Council Tuesday night. He took the oath of office before family and friends from City Clerk Jessica Zellars and had his chief's badge pinned on by his daughter Maddie.

He takes over for Danny Ash, who stepped down as chief on June 1st after 26 total years in law enforcement. Feutz has been with the Bridgeport Police Department since 2014.

Mayor Tyler Griffin told GIANT-FM News that Feutz was the natural and best choice for the job given his long experience and added that he looks forward to Feutz's leadership in policing the city in the future.
