A driver was transported to Union Hospital for injuries sustained in a Friday crash.
The Parke County Sheriff's Department reports that deputies, Marshall first responders and Parke County EMS responded to a site just north of CR 275 North just before 8 p.m. The driver, Theodore Barrett, 60, was found outside the vehicle lying in the grass. Barrett was alet and spoke to first responders at the scene.
According to the crash report, Barrett's car crashed into a tree while negotiating a sharp turn in the roadway.
Barrett's injuries were described as severe but not life threatening.
