Parke Heritage basketball players got out of bed this morning a day away from a state championship appearance.
Now, they’re just a game away.
The Wolves will play in tonight’s 2A South Semistate Championship at the Hatchet House in Washington following a 48-46 buzzer-beating semifinal victory over Forest Park (19-7).
Playing from behind in the fourth quarter, the Wolves would rally to forge a tie at the end of regulation.
And then, the dramatic finish.

The Wolves outscored Forest Park 17-8 in the fourth quarter that was highlighted by a 10-0 run that, at the moment, put Parke Heritage up by a point. From there, the teams exchanged the lead coming down to the final possession.
Treigh Schelsky led the Wolves with 23 points including two three-point field goals during the 10-0 fourth quarter run.

Park Heritage (25-4) will play University for a berth in the 2A state championship game. The Trailblazers (19-9) win didn’t lack for drama either, 59-56 in overtime over Linton-Stockton (21-7).
The loss by the Miners prevented a third meeting of the season with Parke Heritage.
