While on routine patrol Marshall County Sheriff Deputy Tim Hubbard stopped a vehicle for aggressive driving at about 5:30 last Wednesday morning.
While talking with the driver the deputy noticed an odor commonly associated with marijuana coming from the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle was conducted, and the officer found marijuana in the vehicle.
The driver, 29-year-old Zachery T. Marek of Michigan Road in Plymouth was subsequently arrested for aggressive driving and possession of marijuana. He was held on a $500 cash bond for about 2 hours and released on bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
