The search for a missing Marshall County man has taken a concerning turn after his vehicle was found crashed and abandoned in Starke County, with no sign of the driver.

Joshua M. Obrochta, 34, was first reported missing after he was last seen on August 7 in the Plymouth and Culver area. His family has expressed serious concern for his welfare.

Obrochta is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing between 170 and 200 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. At the time he was last seen, he was driving a 2009 black Chevrolet Silverado four-door pickup truck with an Indiana license plate of TK273NSC, a hard bed cover, black paint peeling from the rims, and trim pieces missing from the doors.

About 5 pm Tuesday, the vehicle Obrochta was last observed driving was located in the 5,000 block of East Toto Road in Starke County. The vehicle had been involved in a collision, but no driver or occupants were found at the scene. Authorities believe Obrochta may have fled the scene of the collision on foot.

Obrochta remains missing at this time, and the discovery of his abandoned vehicle has deepened concerns for his safety.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Department and the Starke County Sheriff's Department are jointly investigating the case and are asking anyone who may have information regarding Obrochta's whereabouts or welfare to contact the Marshall County Sheriff's Department at 574-936-3187 or the Starke County Sheriff's Department at 574-772-3771.
