A police pursuit on Monday night, July 21st, ended with the suspect crashing a sports bike and being injured.
At 10:53 p.m., a Marshall County Sheriff’s Department deputy attempted to stop a sports bike traveling northbound on U.S. 31 for traffic violations.
The operator of the sports bike, Owen Shumaker, 20, fled from the deputy before crashing and sustaining injuries. Shumaker was taken to a local hospital following the crash. Police did not indicate where he is from.
Charges will be filed with the Marshall County Prosecuting Attorney's office.
The Argos Police Department assisted in the pursuit.
