Linda Yoder from United Way of Marshall County and the Community Foundation, and local architect Brent Martin will appear before the Marshall County Council Monday evening to request assistance with funding the SAFE (Stability and Assistance for Emergencies) Housing Response Fund.
The SAFE Housing Response Team helps people connect with short-term shelter as well as supporting services to help people overcome barriers that can get in the way of long-term stable housing, including employment, substance misuse recovery, and mental health support.
Also on the Council’s agenda is a report from their attorney on the Regional Sewer District, reports from the Highway and Budget/Finance Subcommittees, the quarterly update from the Marshall County Museum, and approval of the Sheriff’s 2026 contract.
Council members will also consider additional and transfer appropriations, an amendment to the 2026 Salary Ordinance, a resolution to transfer from the Employee Benefits Rainy Day Fund, and approval of the Lebbin Law invoice.
The County Council meeting is open to the public and is held in the second-floor meeting room of the County Building at 5:30 p.m. It is also streamed live on the county’s YouTube channel.
