Tyson Conrady has officially announced his candidacy for a Republican seat on the Rockville Town Council, citing a strong desire to serve the community, strengthen local leadership, and ensure Rockville continues to grow while preserving its small-town values.
Conrady, a longtime Indiana resident, says his decision to run is rooted in a deep appreciation for Rockville and a belief that local government should be accessible, transparent, and responsive to the people it serves.
“Rockville is a special place,” Conrady said. “It’s a town built on hard work, strong relationships, and pride in our community. I’m running for Town Council because I want to be a voice for our residents and help make thoughtful decisions that benefit families, businesses, and future generations.”

If elected, Conrady says he plans to focus on responsible fiscal management, infrastructure and community improvement, and open communication between town leadership and residents. He emphasized the importance of listening to citizens and working collaboratively to address both current needs and long-term goals.

“I believe the best ideas come from the people who live and work here every day,” Conrady added. “My goal is to serve with integrity, common sense, and a genuine commitment to doing what’s right for Rockville.”

Conrady works for WAXI Radio and has lives in Rockville. He is an active member of the Rockville-Adams Township Fire Department, serves as the Chairman of the Parke County Local Emergency Planning Committee, serves on committees with the Parke County Chamber of Commerce. Conrady brings years of experience to the office of Rockville Town Council with previously serving as a Shelbyville City Councilman and past work in public safety, community affairs, and municipal government.
