Plymouth Police served two arrest warrants on March 26th.
Tuesday morning Officer Witkowski attempted to serve an arrest warrant to 46-year-old Earl Anthony Wessel. Wessel was located near the Red Rock Inn on North Michigan Street. He was apprehended without incident and transported to the Marshall County Jail for processing.
34-year-old Douglas Howard had an active felony arrest warrant. He was located at his residence and taken into custody without incident. He was also transported to the Marshall County Jail and turned over to the jail staff.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
