Fulton County Republican Party Chairwoman Amy Roe announces that a caucus has been set to fill a vacancy on the Henry Township Advisory Board.
That vacancy is due to the recent passing of Jerry Hartzler, and the caucus will convene at 6:30 p.m. April 23 at Akron Town Hall.
Eligible members of the caucus, by statute, are Republican precinct committee members who have served continuously for thirty days before the commencement of the caucus. They will elect, by secret ballot and majority, a new Henry Township Advisory Board member.
Those unable to attend are encouraged to have their vice precinct committeeman vote by proxy.
Candidates must reside in Fulton County and be a Republican in good standing. Declarations of candidacy must be filed with the Roe no later than 72 hours before the caucus – the same requirement for designation of proxy voting.
Eligible candidates will be allowed a maximum of three minutes to address the voting caucus.
Those interested in filing or learning more can contact Roe by calling 864-420-2305 or emailing chair@fultoningop.org.
