Congratulations to Tara Buerster, county director for the University of Illinois Extension Service serving Lawrence, Edwards, Richland, Wabash and Wayne counties in southeastern Illinois. She was selected to the National Epsilon Sigma Phi Board of Directors.
She will be the North Central Region vice president and represent Extension professionals from 11 states including Illinois and Indiana on the organization's executive leadership team, helping to advance professional development and leadership opportunities throughout the region and across the nation.
Locally, as county director, Buerster oversees all Illinois Extension and 4-H youth development programs across Lawrence and the four other counties and leads a team of 18 staff members. She also works closely with county governments and community organizations to ensure that Extension programs address the needs and priorities of the communities that they serve.
