Brent Allen Creighbaum, a lifelong resident of Marshall County, passed away unexpectedly on April 9, 2024 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth at the age of 66.
Born on November 25, 1957 in Plymouth, Brent was the son of Donald and Juanita (Gilley) Creighbaum.
He married Darla J. Massing in Plymouth on June 13, 1981. They raised 3 daughters together and created a lifetime of memories in their 42 years of marriage. Brent was a wonderful husband, dad, and grandpa.
Brent worked for Indiana Carton on the factory line for 25 years. In his free time, he liked to fish, hunt, and watch NASCAR. Brent was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and Cubs, along with Notre Dame. He would wait until the mountains were blue to enjoy an ice-cold Coors Light.
Old war shows and Westerns were Brent’s favorite type of shows to watch; he often had his youngest grandchild watching Gunsmoke with him. His grandchildren were the light of his life; he loved babysitting them and attending their sporting events. He was a proud dad and grandpa to his family.
His family will miss his feisty, outspoken personality. He was the jokester of the family, but if he was picking on you, you knew he loved you. While he was sarcastic, he was a family man at heart; always looking out for those he loved.
Brent is survived by his wife, Darla; daughters, Krista Corbett, Tara (Adam) Gibson, and Jeana (Ben) Hendricks; grandchildren, James, Tiffany, Bryan, Dean, and William “Willie”; and bonus son, Gregg Ferguson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Juanita; brothers, Daniel and Kent Creighbaum; and grandchild, Baby Gibson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 10-12 at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, IN 46563. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12PM with Pastor Chuck Krieg officiating. Per the request of the family, please wear casual attire.
A private burial will take place at a later date.
Memorial contributions can be made in Brent’s memory to Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home towards his funeral expenses or to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
